Important Disclaimers:

The content of this blog is simply the opinion of a dog and his psychotherapist sidekick.  It exists for your informational, entertainment, and educational purposes only.  This blog and the opinions herein are not to be construed as professional advice or as a professional relationship between the reader and the writer.  No therapist-client relationship exists.

Your Privacy: Please note that any information that you may provide us through communications with our blog or by email is held private and will not be shared or sold to outside companies. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any blog commenters.

This blog’s content is not professional counsel.  If you are seeking professional advice or counsel, please seek an in-person consultation with a qualified or licensed counselor or psychologist in your area who can listen, evaluate, and advise you based on clinical observation and assessment. Seriously.  Giving yourself the gift of a therapeutic relationship with a good counselor is a life-changing experience and one that Hagrid highly recommends.

Timeliness and Response: Hagrid and his human sidekick may not be able to get to your email due to the volume of emails, our busy schedule, a virulent stomach flu, or other number of reasons.  Please do not send us anything that is time sensitive or an emergency.  We are not the right place for emergency-type of questions.   Though we get many emails, only one or two emails are selected each week.  Due to the volume of questions, we simply cannot respond to each individual query (though we would love to).

Emergency situations: If you are experiencing an emergency or a mental health crisis, head to your nearest emergency room or call 911.  The professionals there will be able to help you stay safe while they connect you to the resources that will best fit your immediate needs.  Hagrid says, “Do not hesitate.  When things are bad, get help and get it fast.”   And now he’s giving you that look.  You know.  That look.   So stop dinking around and reach out to helpful resources right now.  If you can’t do it for yourself, at least do it for Hagrid.
